2017 Quarter 4 Review: Dividend Focus Portfolio
A separately-managed account income-opportunistic strategy that is primarily comprised of dividend-paying, common stocks of Fortune 1000 companies that are leaders in their respective industries, have a history of dividend stability and growth, and have favorable credit metrics. In addition, the manager may utilize up to 30% in non-common equity securities and investment strategies such as REITs, high yield bonds, covered call writing funds, core plus bond funds, MLPs, and preferred stocks. On the Risk/Return spectrum, this strategy falls between all bonds and all stocks. It historically has had more risk and more return than an all bond portfolio while having less risk and less return than an all stock portfolio.
